Amino-2-propanol is an organic compound with the chemical formula C3H9ON. It is a transparent to light yellow liquid with optical activity and is liquid at room temperature. It is soluble in water and ethanol. It can be used as a surfactant, a fiber industry refining agent, an antistatic agent, a dye, a fiber wetting agent, and can also be used to prepare synthetic detergents, cosmetic lubricants, antioxidants for cutting oils, plasticizers, emulsifiers, and solvents.
